Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 3 Retail (x86) Original

This is the original release of Windows XP Home Edition Retail with SP3.

and look for Windows XP Home with Service Pack 3 (x86) - CD (English), you can see the true SHA1 hash value which matches this one. 

As this is a retail version of XP it requires a fully genuine and valid license key. It would be pointless of me to provide a valid key because it would be in-valid after 3 people using it. Also, you can install this without a key but it requires you to enter one after 30 days. Lastly if you have your own key please use it.

4. Upgrade by launching setup whilst on desktop or install fresh by booting from the CD.

@Rampand, You might be right, XP Home doesn't have all the features that XP Pro has so yes maybe. Please check google to find system requirements for the games you wish to play and check to see if it's XP Home compatible.

@callmesuraly, Please search google because I don't use mac computers so I don't know, sorry.

@Onelife, In short, no I don't have XP Home SP2 for you sorry. I don't know what you mean by needing to install SP2 first.

I downloaded this and installed it onto a CD with IsoBurner everything worked perfectly but the key i used is a Windows XP Home Edition key on the side of then computer and it says that the product key is invalid and i retyped it several times to be sure of no errors but it still does not work can you help me ?

If you want to downgrade from Vista to XP. You must format your hard drive and then boot with the XP cd.
Prior to formatting, make sure that you downloaded or have all XP drivers of your PC. You can find them on your PC manufacturers site if available.
Be careful not to delete the V?sta installation files. When I formatted mine I realized soon that I also deleted my Vista installation files but who cares!! XP just works fine:))

Hey, I burnt this using a BURNCDCC and it passed the read verify but while installing it skips several files then quits saying the cd damaged. I can copy every file off of it onto the hard drive of another computer without issue. it's not the disc. Maybe the drive?

Your key probably isn't working because it may be a key from XP Home SP1 or SP2, you can get it activated by just calling up Microsoft. The phone number will provided through the activation wizard.

I got it onto a cd. I went in dos and switch it so it boots from cd. When it says "to boot from cd, press any key"
I hit space bar or enter. Nothing happens.
I know the CD is working because if I open the cd on my windows, I get a startup screen that says "Welcome to Microsoft Windows XP" then gives me a list; install windows xp, learn more about the setup process, install optional Windows components, etc.

I'm I doing something wrong? Please help a brother out. Thanks in advance.

I do have one problem though and by all accounts, a very big problem. I've got the dreaded:

"NTLDR is missing
Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart"

I have no idea how to fix this. My knowledge of IT and computers is extremely basic. Anyone who can help Layman's terms will be appropriate.

If you have vista installed on your comp, then it's likely you have SATA drives in your computer.
This copy of xp does not cater for SATA drives, instead you will have to slipstream the required drivers onto the disk before you burn a copy.
To do this I suggest Nlite, a free program you can download from the net.

Other than that it's a good copy.... by the way none of the keys work.

Hi @ll,
I got a question. I have Windows XP installed, genuine OEM Version. Can i use this windows as a backup copy, i mean, will it work with my genuine key? The salesman did not send me a copy of this installed XP when i bought the computer, they said, you have do do this on your own. BUT, i realy dont know HOW to extract a Windows from a running system.
They also said, you can use any XP (from a friend XPPro i mean) to backup your XP, that means, i could use any genuine XP Pro CD, but i got no friends with a geuine copy of it, so i am searchin now for 1 Year for a backup copy.
I am not a computer crack, thats why i am searching about 1 Year, and asking stupid questions now, in a not so perfect english....
Would be nice if anyone could tell me if i can use this one with my XP Key (OEM)

Here is the easy way how to make bootable dvd :
If you have already win xp on cd make Image file with deamon tools (latest version),and later burn that image with CDBurnerXP.
and make sure it is bootable,you can check that with magic iso.
that works for me by the way.

Yes Vista is Designed to Only Go forward easily , however it CAN go back the key word here is easily.

If you're competent with Google you can find how to do this.

Note that all distributions of Windows XP has stopped for some time now.
This means no more licences are being sold.

So if you've already Registered your Computer with information to Windows XP prior and are trying again. Note that entering new information different from the previous while actually registering will indeed count as a second use in the limit of 3 licences per purchase.

I just downloaded this, changed the setupp.ini file to allow OEM keys(http://msfn.modrica.com/board/lofiversion/index.php/t117527.html), went into to ImgBurn and set it all up(http://forum.imgburn.com/index.php?s=d9224bd000913c9448f9cb105914034a&showtopic=4013&st=0&p=45503&) and installed - worked great. FYI to All, Toshiba L-305's load drivers and setup files and right before the setup gui, it goes BSOD on you. Just a heads up as this might also not work on other toshiba models. I have tried two L-305's and both went Blue screen at the same place.

Having errors? Try this:

'HARD DRIVE DISK NOT FOUND':
Go to your BIOS settings and change your HDD to IDE instead of AHCI.

'COULD NOT FIND ____.xml'
On the setup, choose the partition HDD setting. Quick mode works fine and does the job faster.

I had these errors and fixed them with the above

For all "Invalid key" errors: You don't have to use the local key for it to work, follow these easy steps:

1) Explore the windows cd and navigate to i386 folder

2) Open the file Unattended.txt and scroll down to the last line, there you will find the product key. Use that and it WILL work.
